Declan is a Senior Manager in the Advisory Department of BDO Northern Ireland. A qualified Chartered Accountant, Declan has extensive experience in business restructuring and corporate recovery, specialising in business turnaround and pre-insolvency advice.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant having trained in the Audit department of BDO. He is a member of the Insolvency Practitioners Association and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Declan has been involved in a large range of project based business recovery assignments and has particular experience in business turnaround, having advised a significant number of local clients in both solvent and insolvent situations. He has managed to secure several complex arrangements with creditors of insolvent Companies, allowing the Companies concerned to trade through difficult market conditions.
Declan’s experience also includes pre-insolvency advice and he has successfully managed key appointments, with the primary focus being on the rescuing of the businesses as a going concern, preserving the employment of staff and securing future trade.
